I'm excited to attend the Apple Distinguished Educator Institute next week. I can't wait to connect with other new and active alumni ADE's and to learn about the new Everyone Can Code activities!

Apple Distinguished Education 2022 Reflection

I recently completed my annual reflection as an Apple Distinguished Educator. I had many opportunities in 2022 to learn, grow, connect, share, and advocate for ways to use iPads, app, digital resources, and a variety of technology to engage students, help staff to be more digitally agile and able to use devices and apps to transform teaching and learning in the classroom.

ADE Festival Of Learning 2021 Playground - Code Session On App Design

 I am honored to be part of the Apple Distinguished Educator Creativity Playground during the upcoming ADE Festival of Learning next week.

I will be collaborating with other ADEs from around the world to show how to design a Hotel Home app prototype by using the Keynote app on an iPad to create a working model of a travel app.

App prototyping is the process of creating a working model of an app. Before spending a lot of time writing the code for an app, you can create a prototype to help you map out the interactivity and features of the app. Essentially creating models of each screen, the features of the app, and demonstrating what happens when you push a button. 

Session Description

Bring your app ideas to life using Keynote in an activity designed for aspiring app creators. In this session, you’ll sketch an app interface and incorporate screenshots, draw shapes and link elements to show how your app functions.
